| What is our definition of Health?
|
|
A healthy individual must function efficiently, on many levels.
Physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
This would require that s/he can absorb nutrients, utilize them for repair and transform them into fuel for energy to use in achieving their highest level of performance.
They can remove toxic wastes that are a by- product of metabolism and combat any outside influences that can cause an imbalance to the system or disease.
Emotionally, the individual can reach out to the environment, and people, and become an active participant in the activities of daily living.
They can absorb what life is offering and assimilate the positive in a productive way to their further growth as individuals and contribute to society as a whole.
They can cope and assimilate the negative aspects of life, while at the same time maintain the boundaries of their spirit/emotions so as not to create an imbalance in the entire system.
When all of these energies; mind, emotion, spirit and body are in natural balance there is a free flow of energy that provides freedom of motion and function, called HEALTH.

| What is Energy Medicine?
|
|
We all agree that the human body is "electric", given that every molecule has either a positive, negative or neutral charge.
We call these electrolytes.
They are commonly seen in sports beverages to replenish the body after physical exertion.
The messages carried from the brain down the spine to the digestive tract, for example, are energetic in nature.
We need energy to survive.
When the free flow of energy, obtained from the air we breath, the food we eat, how we feel, our family history, our own physical constitution, is blocked, deficient, overactive or disabled this interference will manifest as a multitude of aches, pains, and symptoms.
What seem to be discounted as "I'm getting older" or "This must be from a sports related injury back in high school" are signs of actually PRE- disease.
They are energetic in nature and while they may be a result of the natural aging process or an earlier trauma, those events could easily start the domino effect of energetic blocks within the body and create a "hidden time bomb" that lead to disease.
Getting to the root of that energetic difficulty is the goal of energy medicine.
Energy medicine is a rather new descriptive of some very old "medical" practices and some very new technologies.
At Essential Energetics we use both the ancient practice of oriental acupuncture and the latest technologies of micro-current and cold low level laser (light) therapy to correct those energetic imbalances.
