At Essential Energetics Clinic, our mission is to maintain health and treat people suffering from a variety of disorders by harnessing the body's natural ability to heal itself and accelerating that process.

The science of medicine, both Western and Eastern, have acknowledged that the mind and body are both responsible for illness. We believe that integration of these medical models provides everyone with a comprehensive way to stay healthy. Internal medicine, as we define it in the Western medical model of healthcare, is the study and isolation of a disease or disorder of a particular body function. While Western medicine has achieved many life-saving measures, they are limited in their ability to provide treatment solutions to many life-altering conditions that occur prior to the discovery of an actual disease process. This is where the Eastern medical model steps in. In the practice of acupuncture energy medicine, the practitioner is able to see and understand the core issue based on all symptoms. Eastern medicine does not isolate a set of symptoms and focus on one issue. It is a whole body overview and treatment that will re-balance energies.

About the Medical Director

Desneige Datillo RN, BSN, Lic. Ac., Dip. Ac. Certified Laser Specialist

Desneige Datillo, the medical director of Essential Energetics Clinic, has been in private practice since 1994. Her experience in western medicine as an RN, BSN working in the Cardiac and Medical Intensive Care units and the Emergency Room in Boston-area hospitals was her first step in to medicine. During an eight-year tenure with John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company as a Senior Nurse Consultant in several areas of Program Development, Ms. Datillo was co-developer of their pre-admission review program, which started with two nurses and ended with five national offices and over 200 employees. After a firsthand experience with acupuncture treatment for a sports-related injury and sleep difficulty, she applied to the New England School of Acupuncture, graduating in 1994. In that same year Ms. Datillo launched her private practice. She has dedicated her career to remaining current in science and research that addresses energetic models of medicine and their integration into Western medicine.
